I was born in France and lived in the French West Indies for a while, before coming to the United States. I've been in the States more than a decade now, and lived in six different states already. I think every state is like its own little cultural concentration, even though there are a lot of things that look the same.
That comment leads to my interest in people, I find people really interesting, through time, space and history, and that influences a lot of the things I do in art. My biggest influences are myths and folklore. That's what always fascinates me, ever since I was old enough to check out library books. They inspire me to not just look at things from one angle and to ask questions. Another thing that fascinates me was old paintings and comic books. I am really using the word fascinating, because some things are good, some a little... Well... Not so good, and sometimes even repulsive. The more complex, the more detailed, the more interesting they are to me. But theartworks that always appeal the most are the ones that give a feeling of motion, or are extremely rich in color. And motion, and the ability to give the impression something is moving is at the core of my artistic research, you might say. I think there are a lot of beautiful images out there, but being able to capture motion realistically is really amazing to me. So these are my personal influences in the works I do and aspire to be doing in the future.
It then won't be surprising to you to find out that I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Art in Animation. :)
I think that's the most relevant information for this portfolio at this point.
